- Cline (via extension) ✅

Do I need to create a new project for each coding project?
Great question! We're actually simplifying this. Currently, you can:
- Use one ByteRover "Memory Workspace" for multiple related projects
- Each workspace has its own API key for organization
- the memory workspace switching is handled automatically by our extensions
How does the AI access memories? Automatically or do I need to ask?
You have flexibility! You can:
- Set up automatic memory searching by adding our custom rules to your editor
- Manually ask your AI to search memories when needed
- Have the AI automatically store important information after successful tasks
What should I store in ByteRover memories?
Our users love storing:
- Code patterns: Preferred ways to structure API calls, database queries, etc.
- Debug solutions: How you solved tricky bugs
- Project context: Important domain knowledge and architectural decisions
- Library usage: Specific configurations and implementation patterns
Can ByteRover work with other productivity tools?
Yes! Many users combine ByteRover with:
- Task management tools like Taskmaster
- Other MCP servers - use ide as the gate way
- Custom documentation systems
We're always open to integration suggestions!
I'm behind a corporate proxy - will ByteRover work?
This can be tricky! Corporate proxies sometimes block MCP servers. Try:
- Ensuring your editor's proxy settings are enabled
- Checking with your IT team about allowlisting our endpoints
- We're exploring proxy support improvements
